RENTAL CARS IN TENERIFE, CANARY ISLANDS

Located just 340 kilometers from the Western Sahara is Tenerife, the largest and most popular island of the Canary archipelago. Tourists from all over the world come to the island all year round. Tenerife airports, Los Rodeos, the Northern one, and the Southern, named after Queen Sofia, connect the island with many European cities, as well as with Russia, Morocco, Venezuela and other countries via direct flights. There is air communication between some islands of the archipelago as well. You can apply for a car rental from our website and get it at one of the airports in Tenerife. Ferries to the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and Hierro run from the Southern port of Los Cristianos, and you can take a ferry to the islands of La Palma, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, as well as to other ports of Spain from the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Once you come to Tenerife, it'd be impossible not to fall in love with this beautiful island, where breathtaking nature sits alongside the best hotels and entertainment amenities.

Car rental in Tenerife will help you discover the diversity of the island. The main attraction and landmark of the island is the Teide volcano, which is the highest point not only in the Canary Islands area, but in all of Spain. The volcano is surrounded by the National Park of the same name that has numerous trekking paths of varying difficulty levels. Make sure to make a car trip through the magical forest of Esperanza, full of diverse greenery and trees. Another exciting car trip you can make would be a trip through the mountains of Acantilados de los Gigantes. You can drive to the village of Los Gigantes, then take a bus to the village of Mask, from where you can start your hiking trip through the rift of the same name, that ends on the ocean shore. Please, take into account that you will need to be in a good physical shape to walk all 9 kilometers of the path, take water, food and some spare things with you. A ferry runs from the coast to Los Gigantes, but the last one leaves around 5.30 p.m. If you rent a car in Tenerife, you’ll be able to stop at scenic viewpoints, take unique pictures and admire the incredible scenery. Be sure to visit the wonderful Loro Park zoo with the richest exotic animals, birds and aquatic mammals collection. By purchasing a double ticket, you can also have tons of fun in the Siam Park, which guests of all ages will find impressive. Modern and high-tech water park, children's playground, bright and colorful scenery, exciting experiences await you there. Perhaps you will be interested in the mysterious pyramids of Guimar that leave a lot of questions to ponder on to this day. And this is only a small part of the Tenerife island attractions.

All of the picturesque villages you will pass by while going around the island of Tenerife are also worth noting. You should definitely visit the capital of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, interesting fact: the capital of La Palma island bears practically the same name - Santa Cruz. The most interesting activities in the city are long walks along the streets, gatherings at local coffee shops and souvenir shopping. However, the city has more things to offer, like the well-preserved Castillo Negro Fort, the unconventional new Auditorio de Tenerife concert hall building, old churches and much more. The island’s former capital of San Cristobal de La Laguna, which is under the protection of UNESCO and is considered a cultural center, is located nearby. Here you’ll be able to embrace the amazing atmosphere of 15-16th century architecture and visit many ancient churches. The hottest tourist spots around include the town of La Orotava, with it’s traditional houses with wooden balconies, Puerto de la Cruz - the oldest resort with two beaches and a beautiful natural pool complex, Garachico, which is the former largest port of the island, until the eruption of the local volcano put an end to it’s golden days; the traditional town of Icod de Los Vinos with it’s picturesque Pila Square, the luxurious Costa Adeje resort with historical buildings and beaches marked with a blue flag; as well as modern tourist resorts like El Medano, Los Cristianos and others.

Visiting Tenerife and not going for a swim in one of the natural pools will take a significant part of your travel experience out of your vacation. There are quite a few of them on the island for you to be able to spend time on the beach, too: Charco del Viento is a pool famous for it’s turquoise waters, Bajamar has two large pools, almost precisely rectangular in shape, with one children’s pool next to them, El Caleton de Garachico natural pool with solidified lava, a picturesque small La Laja pool. Car rental in Tenerife will make going around the island a lot easier for you: you’ll be able to go for a swim in the natural pool in the morning, go sightseeing in the afternoon and watch the sunset on one of the beaches in the evening.

Tenerife is an amazing volcanic island where you can find beaches with golden sand, brought there all the way from the Sahara desert. There’re also amazing white sand beaches, like the small beach of Abama, the wide and broad beach of Del Duque, the beach of Las Teresitas that surrounded by mountains, and the long beach of Las Vistas with many cafes and bars working till early hours of the morning. There are also all of the black sand beaches of Tenerife, which are just as awesome: there’s the cozy and quiet Arena beach, the well-equipped northern beach of Hardin, the beach of El Socorro with soft gray sand, and many others.

Spending a vacation on the island of eternal spring has it’s advantages at any time of the year, but we recommend booking car rental in the Canary Islands in advance to take advantage of a large selection of cars and get the best prices.
